Hours of Operation:
• Lake Fairfax Park grounds are open every day from dawn to dusk
• When bad weather strikes, the park may need to alter the normal operating schedule. Call the office to determine the status during inclement weather.
•Office Hours:◦ Monday - Thursday: 10am-4pm
◦ Friday - Sunday: 10am-6pm


Soccer Fields 1 and 4 have been converted into synthetic turf and are now open. For reservations and questions, please contact the Athletic Services Division at 703-324-5533 or 703-324-5522, TTY 703-222-9693, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., or e-mail us.



Lake Fairfax Park's 476 acres feature:

An 18-acre lake, The Water Mine - an outdoor swimming pool enveloped by a lazy river; seasonal fishing, campgrounds, picnic areas, trails, party areas, a carousel, and playground. Nominal fees are charged for the Water Mine, carousel, boating, and camping. Swimming and windsurfing are prohibited in the lake.
The star attraction at Lake Fairfax Park is the new Water Mine Family Swimmin' Hole, a western theme activity pool with an acre of interactive play features, including Rattlesnake River, Box Canyon Crossing, slides and flumes - all designed with kids in mind. In addition, the park has an 18 acre lake with pedal boat rentals, tour boat rides and fishing in both the lake and seasonally-stocked trout stream.
Lake Fairfax Park in Reston, Virginia has 136 campsites (70 with electrical hookups, 15 and 30 amp), bathhouse with sinks, showers, and toilets, dump station, public phones camp store, picnic tables and grills. The campgrounds are open all year.
